intends to make a payment of money due to the
above-named deceased, to a person not being his legal
representative. All persons objecting to such pay-

when their objections will be considered.

I, JOHN MUIR WAYLAND, Registrar of Joint
Stock Companies for the Provinces of Auckland
and Hawke's Bay, in the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby notify that I have registered a Memoran-
dum of Association, with Articles of Association,
establishing a Company, with limited liability of the
shareholders therein, intituled
"The Waikato Steam Navigation and Coal
Mining Company (Limited)."
The objects for which the Company is established
are-"1. The working of the Waikato Coal Mine, and
the sale of the coal therefrom in Waikato or else-
where; with power for the Company, in furtherance
of the above objects, to purchase or otherwise acquire
any leases, agreements for leases, or other interest in
land or mines, including easements of all descriptions;
to purchase plant and materials; and to purchase
and erect buildings and machinery. 2. The traffick-
ing and carrying, by means of steamers, barges, boats,
and ships, of passengers and all kinds of merchandise,
grain, agricultural produce, coals, goods, cattle,
sheep, horses, and property of every kind and de-
scription along the Waikato River and all its
branches, and thence to any part of the coast of New
Zealand, and to become carriers along such naviga-
tion as aforesaid, for the Company or for others, and,
as incident to the above objects, the purchase and
sale on commission, or on behalf of the Company, of
grain, agricultural produce, or merchandise; the.
purchase or building of barges, boats, or ships,
propelled by steam or otherwise; the acquisition of
storehouses, warehouses, and offices, and the pro-
viding, where necessary, means of land transport,
and convenience for shipping and unshipping goods.
3. To sell or otherwise dispose of, or deal with, any
property whatsoever of the Company. 4. And to do
all such other things as are incidental or conducive
to the attainment of the above objects."
And that, in pursuance of the provisions of "The
Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860," I have issued a
Certificate of Incorporation of the said Company,
bearing date this seventeenth day of May, 1870.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to apply, in
one month from this date, to the Registrar of
Births, Deaths, and Marriages, to be registered under
the Medical Practitioners Act of 1869. The neces-
sary documentary evidence of my qualifications are
open for inspection at the office of the Registrar of
Births, Deaths, and Marriages.

The following Special Resolutions were agreed
to at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Share-
holders in the above Company, held February 18th,
and confirmed at a subsequent Extraordinary Meeting
on March 21st, 1870:β
"1. That the North Island Gold Mining Com-
pany (Limited) be wound up voluntarily.
"2. That Mr. Hugh H. Lusk be appointed
Liquidator of the Company."
