Superintendent of the said Province therefrom, and
during any vacancy in the office of the Superin-
tendent of the said Province arising by death or
resignation, and only so long as the said William
Waring Taylor, Esq., shall hold the office of Deputy
Superintendent of the said Province,) all the
powers vested in the Governor by the said recited
section of "The Gold Fields Act Amendment Act,
1868," to have, hold, and exercise within the Province
of Wellington, the said powers hereby delegated
to the said William Waring Taylor, so long as he
shall continue and remain Deputy Superintendent of
the said Province, and no longer: Provided always
that no Proclamation affecting any lands shall be
made by the said William Waring Taylor under the
powers hereby delegated to him, unless the Governor
shall have obtained power to authorize entry on such
lands for mining for gold in the manner required by
the said Act.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Protection of Animals Act,
1867," it is enacted that the Governor may,
by Order in Council published in the New Zealand
Gazette, delegate to the Superintendent of any Pro-
vince, or to such other person as the Governor may
deem fit, all or any of the powers by the said Act
vested in the Governor or the Governor in Council,
subject to such regulations as he may think fit, and
may from time to time rescind such delegation:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth hereby delegate unto
WILLIAM WARING TAYLOR, Esq.,
Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Wellington
(but only during the absence of the Superintendent
of the said Province therefrom, and during any
vacancy in the office of the Superintendent of the
said Province arising by death or resignation, and
only so long as the said William Waring Taylor
shall hold the office of Deputy Superintendent of
the said Province,) all the powers vested by the said
Act in the Governor or the Governor in Council, to
be exercised only in respect of the said Province.

therefrom, and during any vacancy in the office of
the Superintendent of the said Province arising by
death or resignation, and only so long as the said
Deputy Superintendent shall hold the office).

Governor in Council, from time to time, to order
and direct that all or any of the powers, functions,
duties, and authorities vested in or required to be
performed by the Governor, or the Governor in
Council, or the Colonial Secretary, by the said Act,
within any Province or other District of the Colony,

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly
of New Zealand, intituled "The Lunatics Act,
1868," it is enacted that, in addition to all expenses
incurred by or on behalf of the Colony in the care,
protection, and management, or in the supervision of
the management under the said Act, of the estate of
any lunatic, or lunatic patient, to be charged by the
Registrar of the Supreme Court against, and paid out
of and recoverable from such estate, and in addition
to all payments for or on account of maintenance,
there shall be charged a percentage not exceeding
seven per centum on all moneys collected by, or paid
to, or coming under the control of the Registrar
for or on behalf of any lunatic patient or his estate :
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the Colony, doth hereby, in exercise and
pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling him
in that behalf, order that a percentage at the rate
of seven pounds per centum shall be charged on all
moneys collected by, or paid to, or coming under the
control of the several Registrars of the Supreme
Court within the Judicial Districts of the Colony for
or on behalf of any lunatic patient or his estate.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
In pursuance and exercise of the power and autho-
rity in this behalf enabling me, I, Sir George
Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that Sittings
of the District Court of the Otago Gold Fields,
additional to those already appointed, shall be held
as follows:-
In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Lawrence,
on the second Tuesday in June next.
In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Naseby, on
the second Wednesday in July next.
In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Clyde, on
the Monday next after the second Wednesday
in July next.
