I, have registered a Memorandum of Association
establishing a Company, with limited liability of the
shareholders therein, entitled-
"The Great Waikaka Race Company, Limited;"
the objects for which the said Company is established
being the digging, mining, and working of certain
auriferous ground in search of Gold under the pro-
visions of the Gold Fields Acts, and doing all other
things incidental or conducive to the attainment
thereof.

And I hereby further notify that, in pursuance of
"The Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860," I have
issued a Certificate of Incorporation of the said
Company, bearing date this twenty-third day of
September, 1869.

1860," I, EDWARD MAINWARING JOHNSON, of
Christchurch, in the Province of Canterbury, New
Zealand, Gentleman, hereby give notice that I have
applied for a grant of Letters Patent under the
above Act, for the sole use, benefit, and advantage of
a certain invention of Improvements in Machinery
for Gold-saving purposes; and any person who may
wish to prefer any objection to the granting of such
Letters Patent is hereby required, within four
months after the date of the publication of this
advertisement, to send to the office or address of
John Boyle Bennett, Esq., Registrar-General, at
Wellington, a statement in writing, setting forth the
grounds of such objection, and subscribed with his
proper name and address.

PATENTS ACT, 1860—Notice is hereby given,
that application has been made to His Excel-
lency the Governor, by and on behalf of James
Russell Richardson, of Oamaru, Otago, Blacksmith,
and William Hambleton, of same place, Millwright,
to grant them Letters Patent under "The Patents
Act, 1860," for the exclusive use within the Colony
of New Zealand of an invention of a method of
raising the screw of a Wool Press by a counter-
balance weight. Any person who may wish to prefer
any objection to the granting of such Letters Patent,
is requested to send within four months of the
publication of this notice to the office of John Boyle
Bennett, Esq., Registrar-General, at Wellington, the
officer appointed for that purpose, a statement in
writing setting forth the grounds of such objection,
subscribed with his proper name and address.

Dated at Oamaru, this ninth day of September,
1869.

NOTICE.—The Partnership lately subsisting be-
tween us, the undersigned Isaac Collins and
Alfred Ellis, as Fellmongers and Butchers, at
Temuka, in the Province of Canterbury, and Colony
of New Zealand, under the firm of "Collins and
Ellis," was, on the first day of September last,
dissolved by mutual consent; and that all debts due
and owing to or by the late firm on account of the
butchery business, will be received and paid by the
said Alfred Ellis.

As witness our hands, this twenty-fifth day of

application to register "The Beehive Quartz
Mining Company, Registered," under the provisions
of "The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act,
1865;" and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that
the following statement is, to the best of my belief
and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:-

  1. The name and style of the Company is "The
    Beehive Quartz Mining Company, Registered."
  2. The place of operations is at the Waotahi Creek,
    at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of Auck-
    land, in the Colony of New Zealand.
  3. The nominal capital of the Company is four
    thousand eight hundred pounds, in nine hundred and
    sixty shares of five pounds each.
  4. The amount already paid up is three thousand
    eight hundred and forty pounds.
  5. The name of the manager is Charles S. Totton.
  6. The office of the Company is at Owen Street,
    Graham's Town.
  7. The names and several residences of the share-
    holders, and the number of shares held by each at
    this date, are as follows:-
