Protection of Animals Act, 1867," the Auckland
Acclimatization Society has deposited a copy of its
Rules in the office of the Honourable the Colonial
Secretary.

IN the matter of "The Friendly Societies' Act,
1867;" notice is hereby given that a transcript
of the amended Rules of the Court Star of Canter-
bury, No. 2309, of the Ancient Order of Foresters,
duly certified, has been lodged with the Registrar of
Friendly Societies, registered and recorded in his
office, under the provisions of "The Friendly
Societies Act, 1867."

IN the matter of "The Patents Act, 1860," and of
the Letters Patent dated respectively the fifteenth
day of June, 1863, and the twelfth day of October,
1866, to Charles Martin, for his invention of an Im-
provement or Improvements in the Manufacture of
an Alloy or Alloys of Titanium and Iron,-
Notice is hereby given, that His Excellency the
Governor has been pleased to allow a description and
specification received for annexation to the original
descriptions and specifications, and for record in the
Colonial Secretary's Office, on the sixteenth day of
April, 1867, being a description and specification of
a new Improvement of the original invention of
Charles Martin of an Improvement or Improvements
in the Manufacture of an Alloy or Alloys of Titanium
and Iron, in respect whereof Letters Patent dated
respectively the fifteenth day of June, 1863, and the
twelfth day of October, 1866, were granted to the
said Charles Martin, to be annexed to the original
specifications and descriptions, in terms of the seven-
teenth section of "The Patents Act, 1860."
Dated the thirteenth day of February, 1869.
