with Articles of Association annexed, establishing a
Company with limited liability of the shareholders
therein, entitled
"The Wanganui Gold Mining and Investment
Company, Limited,"
having for its object the investment of money in
shares of Gold Mining Companies and Claims on the
Thames Gold Fields, or elsewhere in the Colony of
New Zealand:
And I further notify that, in pursuance of the
provisions of "The Joint Stock Companies Act,
1860," a Certificate of Incorporation of the said
Company has been duly issued, bearing even date
herewith.

γ€ŒN the matter of "The Patents Act, 1860."--Notice
I
is hereby given, that application has been made
by JOHN JOURNEAUX, of Melbourne, in the Colony of
Victoria, presently residing in the City of Welling-
ton, New Zealand, Esquire, to His Excellency the
Governor, for the grant to the said John Journeaux,
his executors, administrators and assigns, of Letters
Patent for the exclusive use, within the Colony of
New Zealand, of an Invention for a Machine and a
Process by means thereof for manufacturing the
Fibre of the New Zealand Flax (Phormium Tenax),
and for preparation of the Gum of the said Flax into
an Article of, Commerce.

Any person wishing to prefer any objection to
the granting of such Letters Patent is required to
send within four months from the date of this
publication, a statement in writing setting forth
the grounds of such objection, subscribed with his
proper name and address, to the office of John
Boyle Bennett, Esq., of the City of Wellington,
Registrar-General, the officer appointed for that
purpose.

I the undersigned JOHN GWYNNETH, hereby make
application to register "The Lady Grant
Gold Company, Registered," under the
provisions of "The Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act, 1865;" and I do solemnly and sincerely
declare that the following statement is, to the best
of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular,
namely :-

  1. The name and style of the Company is "The
    Lady Grant Gold Mining Company, Registered."
  2. The place of operations is at the Tararu Block,
    at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of Auck-
    land, in the Colony of New Zealand.
  3. The nominal capital of the Company is seven
    thousand five hundred pounds, in seven thousand
    five hundred shares of one pound each.
  4. The amount already paid up is fifteen shillings
    per share.
  5. The name of the manager is John Gwynneth.
  6. The office of the Company is at Owen Street,
    Graham's Town.
  7. The names and several residences of the share-
    holders, and the number of shares held by each at
