under the provisions of "The Mining Companies
Limited Liability Act, 1865;" and I do solemnly
and sincerely declare that the following statement is,
to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every
particular, namely :-
- The name and style of the Company is "The
Shortland Gold Mining Company, Registered." - The place of operations is at the Karaka Creek,
at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of Auck-
land, in the Colony of New Zealand. - The nominal capital of the Company is nine
thousand pounds, in three thousand shares of three
pounds each. - The amount already paid up is seven thousand
eight hundred and seventy-five pounds. - The name of the manager is Nathaniel William
Massey. - The office of the Company is at Brown Street,
