shall be released, and that the Commissioners shall
make such determination by an award in writing: And
whereas it has been made to appear to the said Com-
missioners that debentures to the amount of fifty-four
thousand five hundred pounds, being part of the deben-
tures to the amount of one hundred and fifty thousand
pounds issued under "The New Zealand Loan Act,
1860," being one of the Acts named in the first
Schedule to the said "Public Debts Sinking Funds Act,
1868," have been converted or exchanged for deben-
tures issued under "The Consolidated Loan Act,
1867," and that the amount of the debentures still out-
standing and unconverted of the said loan of one hun-
dred and fifty thousand pounds is thereby reduced to
the sum of ninety-five thousand five hundred pounds:
And whereas the sum of twenty-six thousand nine
hundred and ninety-one pounds six shillings and two
pence is held by the said Commissioners as accumu-
lated Sinking Fund, for the repayment of the said
loan of one hundred and fifty thousand pounds; and
the sum of seventeen thousand pounds of the said
accumulated Sinking Fund, together with the Sinking
Fund hereafter accruing, with the interest thereon,
will be sufficient to reproduce the said sum of ninety-
five thousand five hundred pounds, being the amount
of the outstanding and unconverted portion of the
said loan of one hundred and fifty thousand pounds,
on or before the first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-one, being the day fixed by law
for the repayment thereof:

Now know ye, that the Commissioners of the Public
Debts Sinking Funds, by this their award in writing,
do determine that the sum of nine thousand nine
hundred and ninety-one pounds six shillings and two-
pence, being part of the said accumulated Sinking
Fund so held by them for the payment of the
debentures issued under "The New Zealand Loan
Act, 1860," shall be released and paid over to the
Public Account of New Zealand, to the credit of the
Consolidated Fund, as by the said Public Debts
Sinking Funds Act provided.

As witness our hands this fifteenth day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-nine.

I, the undersigned JOHN DE VAYNES BARNSLEY,
of Shortland, Thames Gold Fields, hereby make
application to register "The Flora Macdonald Gold
Mining Company, Registered," under the provisions
of "The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act,
1865;" and I do solemnly and sincerely declare
that the following statement is, to the best of my
belief and knowledge, true in every particular,
namely:-

  1. That the name and style of the Company is
    "The Flora Macdonald Gold Mining Company,
    Registered."

  2. That the place of operations is at the Tararu
    Creek, at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of
    Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. That the nominal capital of the Company is
    ten thousand pounds sterling, in one thousand shares
    of ten pounds each.

  4. That the amount paid up is ten thousand
    pounds.

  5. That the name of the manager is John De
    Vaynes Barnsley.

  6. That the office of the Company is in Wil-
    loughby Street, Shortland.

  7. That the names and several residences of the
    shareholders, and the number of shares held by each
    at this date, are as follows, namely:----

Shortland Gold Mining Company, Registered," under
the provisions of "The Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act, 1865;" and I do solemnly and sincerely
declare that the following is, to the best of my belief
and knowledge, true in every particular, namely :-

  1. The name and style of the Company is "The
    Shortland Gold Mining Company, Registered."

  2. The place of operation is at the Karaka Creek,
    at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of Auck-
    land, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is nine
    thousand pounds, in three thousand shares of three
    pounds each.

  4. The amount already paid up is seven thousand
    eight hundred and seventy-five pounds.

  5. The name of the manager is Nathaniel William
    Massey.

  6. The office of the Company is at Brown Street,
    Graham's Town.
