  4. Report on Okarita District;
  5. Report on Thames Gold Fields;
  6. Notes by Dr. Hector on the Composition of

  7. Geology of the Kawau Island;
    and are illustrated by ten coloured Maps and Sections

(extracted from the Geological Survey Reports of

Geological formation of the country, and indicating

to which are added Analyses of the Rock Specimens,

The Maps originally formed part of the Scientific
Publications of the "Novara" Expedition, and will
be found a valuable addition to Dr. Hochstetter's
recently translated work on New Zealand.
