PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following name of an Officiating Minister,
within the meaning of the said Act, is published
for general information :--

I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages in New Zealand, do hereby
certify that the foregoing NAME of an OFFICIATING
MINISTER within the meaning of "The Marriage
Act, 1854," has been sent in to me, in addition to
the names in Lists published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 4, of the 29th of January; No. 5, of
the 8th of February; No. 15, of the 19th of March;
No. 16, of the 25th of March; No. 18, of the 1st of
April; No. 22, of the 17th of April; No. 23, of the
27th of April, and No. 25, of the 13th of May, in
the present year.
Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
thirty-first day of May, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-nine.

Office of the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies,

I, EDWARD DENHAM, Registrar of Joint
Stock Companies for the Province of Canterbury
do hereby notify that I have registered a Memorandum
of Association, with Articles of Association annexed,
establishing a Company, with limited liability of the
shareholders therein, intituled
"The Canterbury Meat Export Company, Limited."
The objects for which the Company is established
are, the procuring by purchase or otherwise of animals
alive or dead, and the general utilization of every
portion of the carcases of such animals, by preserving
and making fit for human consumption as food, by
any process whatever, any portion of the flesh of such
animals; the manufacture of tallow, and the dressing
and preparation of wool, skins, bones, pelts, and
offal by any process whatever, and the disposing
thereof by exportation, sale, or otherwise; and the
doing all such other things as are incidental or
conducive to the attainment of the above objects:
And that, in pursuance of "The Joint Stock Com-
panies Act, 1860," I have issued a Certificate of
Incorporation of the said Company, bearing date the
twenty-first day of May, one thousand eight hundred
and sixty-nine.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership
heretofore subsisting between John Hamilton
Ward and Arthur Wellington Palmer, as Fellmongers
and Wool Scourers, at the Heathcote Wharf, Ferry
Road, near Christchurch, in the Province of Canter-
bury, under the style of "Palmer and Co.," has this
day been dissolved by mutual consent. All debts
due to or from the late firm will be received and
paid by the said J. H. Ward.

hereby make application to register "The
Royal Sovereign Gold Mining Company," under the
provisions of "The Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act, 1865;" and I do solemnly and sincerely
declare that the following statement is, to the best
of my knowledge and belief, true in every particular,
namely:-
- The name and style of the Company is "The
Royal Sovereign Gold Mining Company, Registered." - The place of operations is at Wiseman's Gully,
Karaka Block, Thames. - The nominal capital of the Company is fourteen
thousand pounds, in one thousand four hundred
shares of ten pounds each. - The amount already paid up is ten thousand
five hundred pounds. - The name of the manager is James Holmes
Hanson. - The office of the Company is in Shortland

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of £2
per annum, or 10s. 6d. per quarter, payable in advance.
An extra subscription of 10s. to the Gazette will entitle each
yearly subscriber to the Acts of the General Assembly as pub-
lished during the year.
Subscriptions are required to terminate with the quarters
ending March, June, September, or December. A less period
than three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette will be 1s. each.
ADVERTISEMENTS will be charged for according to the
following scale :--

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper,
and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
All applications for subscription or for the insertion of private
advertisements in the New Zealand Gazette should be addressed
to the Government Printer, Wellington, and at the same time,
pre-payment (by money order when necessary) at the above
rates must be made to him.
Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in
payment from any place at which post office orders are issued,
and under any circumstances are subject to a deduction at the
rate of one shilling in the pound.
