of April next Resident Magistrate's Districts,
within the meaning and for the purposes of "The
Resident Magistrates Act, 1867."

SCHEDULE.

Kaikoura District.
This district is bounded on the South by the sea;
on the South-west by the south-western boundary of
the Province of Marlborough, from the sea to the
point where it meets the Clarence River; and on the
remaining sides by the Clarence River from the last-
named point to the sea.

Blenheim District.
This district comprises so much of that area
included within the boundaries of the Province of
Marlborough as is not included in the District of
Kaikoura, hereinbefore described.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same, at the Government
House, at Wellington; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, this twelfth
day of March, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-
nine.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
tenth day of March, 1869.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Maori Real Estate Manage-
ment Act, 1867," it is enacted that if any title
to or interest in any hereditaments shall accrue to
any Maoris who, or any of whom, shall be infants,
lunatics, or under legal disability, it shall be lawful for
the Governor in Council, if he think fit, to order
that such hereditaments, or any part thereof or
interest therein, as shall to the Governor in Council
be shown to belong to such infant, lunatic, or other
person under legal disability, shall be vested in
trustees, as the Governor in Council shall think fit:
And whereas by virtue of a Crown Grant bearing
date the twenty-ninth day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-nine, the parcel of land
and hereditaments described in the Schedule hereto
became vested in Haimona Ranapiri, of the District
of Otaki, Province of Wellington, an aboriginal
native of New Zealand: And whereas the said
Haimona Ranapiri is an infant under the age of
twenty-one years:

Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir George Fergu-
son Bowen, the Governor of New Zealand, with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
Colony, in exercise and in pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in him by the said Act, doth
hereby order that the lands described in the Schedule
hereto shall be and remain vested in

HEMI RANAPIRI, a half-caste, and
RIRIA RANAPIRI, an aboriginal native, both of
Otaki,
as Trustees within the meaning and for the purposes
of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Province of Wel-
lington, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing
by admeasurement three (3) acres one (1) rood and
twenty-nine (29) perches more or less, situate at
Otaki, in the District of Otaki, being called or
known by the name of "Te Whakahokiatapango,
No. 2," and numbered sixty-three N, (63N.);
bounded towards the North by lines two hundred
and nine (209) links, and one thousand one hundred
and fifty-five (1,155) links; towards the East by
the Mangapouri Stream; towards the South by a
line one thousand one hundred and five (1,105)
links; and towards the West by the Mangapouri
Stream.

aboriginal natives, both of Otaki, as Trustees within
the meaning and for the purposes of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Province of Welling-
ton, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by
admeasurement one (1) acre three (3) roods and
twenty (20) perches more or less, situate at Otaki,
in the District of Otaki, being called or known by the
name of "Piritaha," and numbered fifty-eight N
(58 N), bounded towards the East by a public street,
three hundred and sixty-eight (368) links; towards
the South by land granted to the Church of England
Missionary Society, four hundred and thirty (430)
links; towards the West by a line three hundred and
ninety-seven (397) links; and towards the North by
a line five hundred and seventy-two (572) links.
