I, EDWARD DENHAM, Registrar of Joint
Stock Companies for the Province of Canter-
bury, do hereby notify that I have registered a
Memorandum of Association (with Articles of Asso-
ciation annexed) establishing a Company, with limited
liability of the shareholders therein, intituled
"The Press Company (Limited)."
The objects for which the Company is established are
the purchase of the Press newspaper, printing
business, and plant, and the carrying on of the Press
newspaper and printing business, and the doing of
such other things as are incidental or conducive to
the above objects.
And that, in pursuance of the provisions of "The
Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860," I have issued
a Certificate of Incorporation of the said Company,
bearing date this fifteenth day of February, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

Mining Lease Regulations, published in the New
Zealand Gazette, No. 15, of 1866, it is hereby notified
that it is intended to grant a Lease for Gold Mining
purposes of the Crown Land within the District of
the Nelson South-west Gold Fields hereinafter
described, viz. :-
A Block of Land, containing three acres, more or
less, situate on the Candlelight Flat, near
Charleston, applied for by Edward Barbezat

Mining Lease Regulations, published in the New
Zealand Gazette, No. 15, of 1866, it is hereby notified
that it is intended to grant Leases for Gold Mining
purposes of the Crown Lands within the District of
the Golden Bay Gold Fields hereinafter described,
viz.:-

  1. A Block of Land, containing four acres, more
    or less, situate on M'Artney's Hill, Para-Para,
    Collingwood, applied for by William Summer-
    ville and Oliver Caldwell.
  2. A Block of Land, containing two acres, more or
    less, situate at Para-Para, Collingwood, applied
    for by John Edmund Price and John Shaw for
