IN the matter of "The Friendly Societies Act, 1867," notice is hereby given, that transcripts of the Rules of the under-mentioned Societies—that is to say,
The Loyal Howard Lodge, Nelson Branch,
Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Man- chester Unity;
Arowhenua Lodge, Independent Order of Odd Fellows;
Court Concord No. 4355, Ancient Order of Foresters, Friendly Society—
duly certified, have been lodged with the Registrar of Friendly Societies, registered and recorded in his office under the provisions of "The Friendly Societies Act, 1867."

NOTICE.—In pursuance of an Order of His Honor Mr. Justice Ward, dated the 27th day of No- vember, 1868, made under Section VII. of "The Trustees' Relief Act, 1862," notice is hereby given that all persons who may have claims against the Estate of the late James Horton, late of Caversham, near Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, gentleman, are directed to send in their claims to Henry Dyer Maddock, of Dunedin aforesaid, the executor named in the Will of the said James Horton (to the care of the undersigned), within three months from the tenth day of December, 1868: And notice is further given that after the expiration of the said period of three months, the executor of the said Will will proceed to distribute the assets of the said James Horton amongst the parties entitled thereto, having regard to the claims of which the executor shall then have notice in manner provided by the said section.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned John Henry Burnside, John Johnston Scales, and Alexander McArthur, carrying on business in Auck- land as Wholesale Drapers and Warehousemen under the style or firm of "J. H. Burnside & Co.," has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.
All debts due to and from the late Firm will be received and paid by their successors, Messrs. McArthur, Shera, and Co.

PATENTS ACT, 1860.—Notice is hereby given that application has been made by JAMES DALRYMPLE FRASER, of Trelissic Farm, in the Province of Welling- ton, for the issue to him of Letters Patent for certain Improvements in Apparatus for Distilling Spirits. Any person who may wish to prefer any objection to the granting of such Letters Patent is requested to send, within four months from the publication hereof, to the office of John Boyle Bennett, Esquire, Regis- trar-General, at Wellington, a statement in writing setting forth the grounds of such objection, sub- scribed with his proper name and address.
