TENDERS will be received at this Office until the
thirtieth day of November, 1868, from persons
willing to supply the New Zealand Government
Printing Department with the Papers enumerated in
the Schedule attached.

One-half the quantity of the several descriptions
of Paper specified must be delivered before the
thirty-first of July, 1869, and the remainder before
the first of January 1870. -
The Tenderer must submit samples of each
article tendered for, and the rates quoted must
include all charges whatsoever-freight, insurance,
shipping charges, cost of packages, and risks of every
description being borne by the Contractor, who will
also be liable for any expense incurred by the
Government owing either to the rejection of the
supply as not according to sample, or to non-delivery
within the time specified. The packages will become
the property of the Government without any extra
charge. -
The articles must be in every respect of the best
description. The Paper will be paid for at actual net
weight, exclusive of wrapper and string, the reams in
each case to contain 500 sheets. Delivery will be
had at the Government Stationery Store, Wellington. -
The Contractor will be required, within one
month from the acceptance of his tender, to enter
into a bond for the due performance of his contract
to the extent of 10 per cent. on the amount of such
contract; failing which, the Contract may be again
advertised or another tender accepted. -
The Government will not necessarily accept
the lowest or any tender. -
Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for Printing
Paper," and addressed to the Hon. the Colonial
Secretary, Wellington.
