IN pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority in me vested in this behalf by the
regulations for the sale and disposal of Waste
Lands in the County of Westland, I hereby reserve
the lands in the said County, the boundaries whereof
are described in the Schedule hereunto annexed, for
the uses of the Colonial Government and other
public purposes, as in the said Schedule is more
particularly specified.

SCHEDULE.

Four (4) acres and three (3) roods, more or less,
being section number forty-five (45) (in red) in the
Arahura District, situate on the south side of the
Stafford Direct Road, at a distance of four chains
and seventy-four links from the Beach, having a
frontage of five hundred (500) links, and running
back at right angles to the said road a distance of
nine hundred and seventy-one (971) links on the
eastern side, and of nine hundred and sixty (960)
links on the western side---for Government purposes.

Twenty-six (26) perches, more or less, being
section number forty-six (46) (in red) in the Ara-
hura District, situate on the Beach Road, at a distance
of one chain south of the Stafford Direct Road,
having a frontage of sixty-nine (69) links, and
running back at right angles the distance of two
hundred and forty-three (243) links on the southern
side, and two hundred and thirty-seven (237) links
on the northern side---for Warden's residence.

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME,
GREETING:

WHEREAS by "The Regulation of Elections
Act, 1858," it is enacted that it shall be lawful
for the Governor, by warrant under his hand, from
time to time to appoint polling places for each
electoral district, within or without the limits
thereof, and to appoint any one of such places to be
the principal polling place for the district, and all or
any of such polling places at any time to abolish, and
to appoint other polling places in lieu thereof: And
whereas by warrant under the hand of the Governor,
bearing date the seventeenth day of January, one

thousand eight hundred and sixty-six, Mr. George
Taylor's House, Takaka, was appointed a polling
place for the District of Collingwood for the election
of Members of the House of Representatives: And
whereas it is expedient to abolish the same:

Now know ye that I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen,
the Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance of
the power and authority in me vested by the said
Act, do hereby abolish the abovenained polling place
for the District of Collingwood for the election of
Members of the House of Representatives, and do
appoint in lieu thereof

Governor's pleasure thereon, intituled,

"The Harbour Reclaimed Lands Sale and
Leasing Ordinance, 1868;"

"Shag Point Coal Reserve Leasing Ordinance,
1868;" and

"Warepa Schoolmaster's Residence and Glebe
Lands Leasing Ordinance, 1868;"

having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency
has been pleased to assent to the same.

has not been advised to exercise his power of dis-
allowance in respect of it.
