of Hokitika South, No. 272 (in red), commencing at
a point on the South-eastern boundary of Reserve No.
25 (in red), the same being three chains distant from
the North-eastern angle of Reserve No. 26 (in red);
thence at a right angle to Reserve No. 25 (in red), a
distance of ten chains; thence at a right angle, a
distance of five chains; thence at a right angle, a
distance of ten chains to Reserve No. 25 (in red),
and along the boundary of said reserve, a distance of
five chains to the commencing point. For the
purpose of a Colonial University.

of Greymouth; bounded on the northward by
University Street; on the eastward by Reserve
No. 24 (in red); on the southward by High Street
and Collingwood Street; and on the westward by
the Waterwalk. For the purpose of a Colonial
University.

Five acres, more or less, situate in the Town of
Greymouth; bounded on the northward by Nelson
Street; on the eastward by Caledonia Square; on
the southward by Chesterfield Street and on the
westward by Shakespeare Street. For the purpose
of a Colonial University.

Five acres, more or less, situate in the Town of
Okarito; bounded on the northward by Prince
Street; on the eastward by the town boundary; on
the southward by Albert Street; and on the west-
ward by Alexander Street. For the purpose of a
Colonial University.

Five acres, more or less, situate in the Town of
Okarito; bounded on the northward by Prince
Street; on the eastward by Alexandra Street; on
the southward by Albert Street for a distance of
five chains; and on the westward by a line at right
angles to the last-mentioned boundary to Prince
Street. For the purpose of a Colonial University.

Five acres, more or less, situate near the Town of
Hokitika; being bounded on the West by Reserve
No. 454 (in red); on the South by boundary of
Reserve No. 453 (in red), for a distance of five
chains; on the East by a line at right angles to the
last-mentioned boundary a distance of ten chains;
and on the North by a line to the North-east corner
of Reserve No. 454 (in red), to include the quantity.
For an extension of the Gaol Reserve.

All that tract of land, being thirty-three feet in
width on either side of the line of telegraph poles,
and extending from the top of Arthur's Pass to the
Town of Hokitika, subject nevertheless to freehold
land, to roads, and to reserves previously made. For
provincial telegraph purposes.

Seventy-nine acres, more or less, situate near the
on the road reserved along the North-eastern bank of
the Omotomoto Creek, the same being six chains
seventy links South-east of the Omotomoto Bridge;
thence following a line bearing North 64Β° 30' East
(magnetic), a distance of about thirty-five chains
twenty links; thence following another line bearing
South 40Β° 50' East (magnetic), a distance of about
sixteen chains forty links to the road before men-
tioned; and from thence returning along the same to
the commencing point. For a recreation ground.

IN pursuance of the power vested in me by the
77th section of an Act of the General Assembly,
entitled "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,"
I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednes-
day, the 26th day of August, 1868, to be the day on
which the first election shall take place of Councillors
for the Borough of Greymouth.

Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-

thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
