sergeants, and paid by him to the Commanding
Officer.
15. The property of the corps is by "The Volunteer
Act, 1865," legally vested in the Commanding Officer;
but a Committee to aid him in the management of
its finances shall be appointed yearly. This Com-
mittee shall consist of two Officers and five members
of the corps, and shall be convened according to the
regulations of each corps.
16. The Commanding Officer shall cause an abstract
of the accounts to be annually prepared for the
information of every member of the corps.
17. Honorary Members may, if they wish it, wear
the uniform of the corps, but they are not to interfere
in any way with the military duties of the corps.
18. Honorary Members will be permitted to use
the practice ground when it is not required by the
enrolled members.
19. Honorary Members shall severally pay a dona-
tion of Β£3 3s., or annual subscription of Β£1 1s.
20. Every member of the corps is expected to
provide himself with a copy of the rules of the corps.

Council of the Province of Marlborough,
intituled-
"The Cattle Trespass Act, 1867,"
which Bill was reserved for the signification of
the Governor's pleasure thereon, having been laid
before the Governor, His Excellency has been pleased
to assent to the same.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly,
intituled "The Native Lands Act, 1867," it is
enacted that if the Governor shall so order with
respect to any district to be defined in such order, no
sitting of the Native Lands Court, shall be held
within such district for the purpose of hearing
claims to land within the same until notice of such
sitting shall have been published in the Kahiti for a
period of one month:

Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
New Zealand, doth hereby order that no sitting of the
Native Land Court shall be held within the district
hereinafter described for the purpose of hearing claims
to land within the same until notice of such sitting
shall have been published in the Kahiti for a period
of one month, such district being bounded by the
sea from the Eastern extremity of the Northern
boundary of the Province of Hawke's Bay to Lottin
Point, thence by the range of mountains forming the
watershed between the East Coast and the Bay of
Plenty to the extremity of the said range north-east
of Waikare Moana, thence by a straight line to the
junction of the River Waiau with the River Waikare
taheke, thence by a straight line running south-west
true bearing to the said northern boundary of the
Province of Hawke's Bay, thence by the said
boundary to the commencing point of the East
Coast.
