I the undersigned SAMUEL EDGAR VAN, hereby make
application to register "The Hit or Miss Gold
Mining Company, Registered," under the provisions
of "The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act,
1865," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that
the following statement is, to the best of my belief
and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:-
- The manner and style of the Company is "The
Hit or Miss Gold Mining Company, Registered." - The place of intended operations is at Com-
missioner's Flat, Kanieri, in the Westland District,
Province of Canterbury. - The nominal capital of the Company is two
thousand five hundred pounds in five hundred shares
of five pounds each. - The amount already paid up is nine hundred
pounds. - The name of the manager is Samuel Edgar Van.
- The office of the Company is at "The White
House," Weld Street, Hokitika, in the Province of
Canterbury. - The names and several residences of the share-
holders and the number of shares held by each at
this date are as follows:-
