WELLINGTON, SATURDAY, JANUARY 27, 1866.

To the Legislative Councillors of the Colony of New Zealand, and the Members
elected to serve in the House of Representatives of the said Colony, and
to all whom it may concern—GREETING :

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS I have thought fit to dissolve the General Assembly of New Zealand,
which stands prorogued to the twentieth day of February proximo: Now
KNOW YE, that I do for that end publish this Proclamation, and do hereby
dissolve the said General Assembly accordingly; and the Legislative Councillors,
and the Members elected to serve in the House of Representatives, are discharged
from their meeting and attendance on the said twentieth day of February proximo.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir GEORGE GREY, Knight
Commander of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
at the Government House at Wellington, and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony of New Zealand, this
twenty-seventh day of January, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.
