namely :--

  1. The name and style of the Company is "The
    Enterprise Water-race."
  2. The place of operations is at Hyde.
  3. The nominal capital of the Company is three
    thousand six hundred pounds in six hundred shares
    of six pounds each.
  4. The amount already paid up is two thousand
    five hundred pounds.
  5. The name of the manager is Thomas Duffy.
  6. The office of the Company is at Hyde.
  7. The names and several residences of the share-

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has
been made by Franz Scherff, of the City of
Auckland, merchant, in accordance with the terms of
"The Patents Act 1860," for the issue to him of
Letters Patent for the exclusive use, within the
Colony of New Zealand, of his invention of an
improvement in the arrangement or construction of
machinery for the purpose of cleansing and preparing
the leaves of New Zealand flax (Phormium tenax)
and similar plants, and any person or persons who
may wish to prefer any objection to the granting of
such Letters Patent, are hereby required to send
within four months from the publication hereof to
C. Knight, Esq., of Wellington, M.D., being the
person appointed for that purpose under the
provisions of the said Patents Act, a statement in
writing setting forth the grounds of such objection,
subscribed with his or their proper name and address.
