ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, the first
day of August, 1866.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly
of New Zealand, intituled "The Native
Reserves Amendment Act, 1862," it is amongst other
things provided, that where under the provisions of
"The Native Reserves Act, 1856," the assent of the
aboriginal inhabitants is required to bringing land
under the operation of the said "Native Reserves
Act, 1856," the Governor may, by Order in Council,
declare such assent to have been ascertained, and
thereupon the title of the aboriginal inhabitants in
the land to which the same shall relate shall be
deemed to be extinguished, and the land shall, from
the date of such Order in Council, vest in Her
Majesty for the purposes and subject to the pro-
visions of the said "Native Reserves Act, 1856," as
altered by the recited Act, and that as effectually as
if the same had been ceded and conveyed by such
aboriginal inhabitants to Her Majesty:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth hereby declare that the assent of the
aboriginal inhabitants to the bringing the pieces of
land described in Schedules A. B. C. D., hereunder
written, under the operation of "The Native Reserves
Act, 1856," has been ascertained.

SCHEDULE A.
All that piece of land situate at Paritutu, Omata
Block, bounded towards the North by a Government
Reserve, six hundred and fifty (650) links; towards
the East by the said Government Reserve, one
thousand five hundred and forty (1540) links;
towards the South by the said Government Reserve,
six hundred and fifty (650) links; and towards the
West by the said Government Reserve, one thousand
five hundred and forty (1540) links.
SCHEDULE B.
All that piece of land situate in the Hua Block,
bounded on the North by the Mangaone Stream;
towards the East by rural allotments No. 93 and
No. 15, two thousand two hundred and thirty-five
(2235) links, rural allotment No. 94, one thousand
five hundred and twenty (1520) links, rural allot-
ments Nos. 94, 95, 96, 97, two thousand six hundred
and fifty (2650) links; towards the South by rural
allotments Nos. 98 and 101, one thousand five
hundred and fifteen (1515) links; and towards the
West by the Mangauaha Stream, excepting and
reserving the Egmont Road.
SCHEDULE C.
All that piece of land situate at rural allotment
No. 30, Grey Block, bounded on the North by
rural allotment No. 30, two hundred (200) links;
towards the East by the said rural allotment No.
30, two hundred and fifty (250) links; towards the
South by the said rural allotment No. 30, two
hundred (200) links; and towards the West by the
said rural allotment No. 30, two hundred and fifty
(250) links.
SCHEDULE D.
All that piece of land situate at Ararepi, Grey
Block, bounded on the North by Barrett's Reserve
C., and a roadway three thousand seven hundred and
eighty (3780) links; towards the East by the Cowling
Road and part of the said Native Reserve No. 2,
five thousand three hundred and ninety (5390) links;
towards the South by part of the said Native
Reserve No. 2, and a roadway three thousand seven
hundred and eighty (3780) links; and towards
the West by Native Reserve No. 5, five thousand
three hundred and ninety (5390) links, excepting
and reserving the Cowling Road through the same.
