GEORGE SAMUEL SALE, ESq.,
to be a Receiver of Land Revenue for so much of
the Electoral District of Westland as lies within the
Province of Canterbury. This appointment dates
from the 24th March, 1866.

THE undermentioned Corps, enrolled previous to
the passing of "The Volunteer Act, 1865," not
having within sixty days of the date on which the
said Act came into operation, again tendered its
services to the Government, is, in accordance with
the provisions of section VII. of the said Act, now
disbanded, and the gentlemen whose names are set
opposite the Corps have ceased to hold the rank of
officers in such Corps, their commissions having
under the same clause lapsed :-
