ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, on
the eighteenth day of November, 1865.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly
of New Zealand, intituled "The Native Reserves
Amendment Act, 1862," it is amongst other things
provided that where, under the provisions of "The
Native Reserves Act, 1856," the assent of the
aboriginal inhabitants is required to bringing land
under the operation of the said "Native Reserves Act,
1856," the Governor may by Order in Council, declare
such assent to have been ascertained, and thereupon
the title of the aboriginal inhabitants in the land to
which the same shall relate shall be deemed to be
extinguished, and the land shall, from the date of
such Order in Council, vest in Her Majesty for the
purposes and subject to the provisions of the said
"Native Reserves Act, 1856," as altered by the
recited Act, and that as effectually as if the same
had been ceded and conveyed by such aboriginal
inhabitants to Her Majesty: Now therefore, His
Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
declare that the assent of the aboriginal inhabitants
to the bringing the piece of land described in the
Schedule hereto under the operations of "The Native
Reserves Act, 1856," has been ascertained.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Province of Tara-
naki, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by
admeasurement one hundred and sixty (160) acres,
more or less, being part of Native Reserve numbered
one (1) on the plan of the Grey District, bounded
towards the north by a line one hundred (100) feet
from high water mark; towards the east by Bayly
Road, three thousand two hundred and fifty (3,250)
links, and suburban allotment, number eight (8), two
thousand four hundred and twenty (2,420) links;
towards the south by suburban allotment, number
eight (8), one thousand six hundred and thirty
(1,630) links, a watercourse, and a roadway four
hundred and seventy (470) links; and towards the
west by a roadway three thousand one hundred and
sixty (3,160) links, and the Barrett Road, four
thousand six hundred (4,600) links, excepting and
reserving the New South Road, of the clear width of
sixty-six (66) feet through the same allotment.

I, ROBERT PARRIS, a person duly appointed in
this behalf, under the provisions of "The Native
Reserves Amendment Act, 1862," hereby certify and
report that I have ascertained that the Aboriginal
Inhabitants entitled to the piece or parcel of Land
described in the Schedule hereunder written have as-
sented that the said piece or parcel of Land shall be
subject to the provisions of the said Act.

As witness my hand this 13th day of Sep-
tember, 1865.

SCHEDULE above referred to.

All that parcel of land in the Province of Taranaki,
Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasure-
ment one hundred (100) acres, more or less, being
part of Native Reserve marked B on the plan of the

Waiwakaiho District, bounded towards the North by
Waste Land and Native Reserve marked A, 2020
links; towards the East by Waste Land, 5070 links;
towards the South by Allotment numbered 204,
2020 links; and towards the West by the Smart
Road, 5100 links, -as the same is delineated on the
Plan.

Report adopted this 6th day of November,
1865, with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the Colony.

We, the undersigned, the owners of Reserve B at
Waiwakaiho, have agreed that the said Reserve shall
be brought under the provisions of "The Native
Reserves Amendment Act, 1862."

of land described in the Schedule hereunder written,
have assented that the said piece or parcel of land
shall be subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasure-
ment six (6) acres one (1) rood, more or less, being
part of the Native Reserve numbered fourteen (14)
on the plan of the Fitzroy District, bounded towards
the North by the Poti Stream; towards the East by
Watson Street, 205 links; towards the South by
Lemon Street, 1387 links; and towards the West by
Hobson Street, 510 links. And also all that other
parcel of land containing by admeasurement twelve
(12) acres, more or less, being part of the same
Reserve numbered fourteen (14), bounded towards
the North by Lemon Street, 1387 links; towards the
East by Watson Street, 630 links; towards the South
