ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, on the
eighteenth day of November, 1865.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
HIS Excellency the Governor in pursuance and in
exercise of all powers and authorities vested
in him in this behalf doth hereby, with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, order that
from and after the first day of December next no
Goods whatever shall be carried Coastwise from any
port or place in or from any part of New Zealand to
any port or place on or to any part of the East
Coast of New Zealand, situate between the South
Head of Tauranga Harbour, in the Bay of Plenty,
and Table Cape.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of
New Zealand, intituled "The Native Reserves
Amendment Act, 1862," it is amongst other things
provided that where, under the provisions of "The
Native Reserves Act, 1856," the assent of the
aboriginal inhabitants is required to bringing land
under the operation of the said "Native Reserves
Act, 1856," the Governor may by Order in Council,
declare such assent to have been ascertained, and
thereupon the title of the aboriginal inhabitants in
the land to which the same shall relate shall be
deemed to be extinguished, and the land shall from
the date of such Order in Council vest in Her
Majesty for the purposes and subject to the pro-
visions of the said "Native Reserves Act, 1856," as
altered by the recited Act, and that as effectually as
if the same had been ceded and conveyed by such
aboriginal inhabitants to Her Majesty: Now there-
fore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth
hereby declare that the assent of the aboriginal
inhabitants to the bringing the pieces of land de-
scribed in Schedules A. B. C., hereunder written,
under the operation of "The Native Reserves Act,
1856," has been ascertained.

SCHEDULE A.
All that piece of land situate at Porirua, District
of Wellington, the boundaries of which commence
at Paparaumu, thence along the southern boundary
of Ellison's land (Section 109) to Putaputa, thence
along the hills to Te Rata; here it turns and goes
along the boundary of the Queen's land to the
Arataura on the sea coast, thence it is bounded on
the west by the sea coast to Paparaumu.
SCHEDULE B.
All that piece of land situate at Porirua com-
mencing at Te Uru Kahika by the stream running
into Porirua Harbour, thence running inland to
Pakawhenua, thence to Rangituhi, thence to the
Takapuwahia Stream, thence to Hamatawa, thence
to the Te Huhi Karito Stream and down the stream
to the Porirua Harbour, thence along the beach and
joining at Te Ura Kahika.
SCHEDULE C.
All that picce of land situate at Porirua bounded
towards the north by the Aotea Stream, and by the
surveyed line of Wi Parata's land; east and south
by the Kenepunu Stream to its mouth, and by Crown
land; west by Porirua Harbour.
