The following Table, being a Summary of certain principal Results, corrected from the Enumerator's Final Returns, is published for general information.

The numbers of Military Settlers and the Colonial Defence Force included in the above Table, were, in the aggregate, 6,382: viz., 5,139 males, and 1,243 females. Their distribution in the several Provinces of the Northern Island on the Census night, was:—Auckland : males, 4,035; females, 1,089; total, 5,124. Taranaki : males, 969; females, 118 ; total, 1,087. Wellington : males, 35; females, 14; total, 49. Hawke's Bay : males, 100; females, 22; total, 122.
