of the "Customs Regulation Act, 1858," to act as a
Custom House Agent at the Port of Russell, until
the 31st December, 1865:

MARINE BOARD.
Notice to Mariners.
SHIPMASTERS and others navigating in the
vicinity of Foveaux Strait are warned not to
approach Waipapapa and Slope Points nearer than a
league, as several vessels have struck on a Sunken
Reef, but have not been able to give the exact
bearings.
The place has been twice examined by the Board,
but they have been unsuccessful in finding it. Ship-
masters are requested to keep a good look-out for
the danger, and, if seen, report to the Marine Board,
giving correct bearings.
