SIR, I am directed by the Postmaster-
General to inform you that the postage of
letters forwarded from the United Kingdom
to California, Oregon, British Columbia,
Vancouver's Island, and the Sandwich
Islands has been reduced.

In future, upon letters sent through the
United Kingdom to any of the above-
mentioned places, the new rates of postage
to be accounted for to this office will
be:-

ARCHIBALD KENNEDY, ESQ.,
to be an Inspector of Steam Vessels for the
Colony of New Zealand, under the "Steam
Navigation Act, 1862."
