ORDER IN COUNCIL,
Revoking certain Orders in Council respecting
Native District of Upper Waikato.

At the Government House, at Auckland, on
the third day of February, 1864.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by certain Acts of the
General Assembly of New Zealand,
intituled respectively "The Native Circuit
Courts Act, 1858," and "The Native Dis-
tricts Regulation Act, 1858," it is provided
that it shall be lawful for the Governor in
Council from time to time to appoint Dis-
tricts for the purposes of the said Acts, being
Districts over which the Native Title shall
not for the time being have been extin-
guished, and any such appointment to vary
and revoke:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Gover-
nor, by and with the advice and consent of
his Executive Council, doth hereby revoke
the Orders in Council bearing date respec-
tively the 16th December, 1861, appointing
the "District of Upper Waikato" for the
purposes of the said Acts respectively:
And doth declare that this Order shall
take effect from and after the third day of
February, 1864.

Re-constituting District of Lower Waikato under
*the "Native Circuit Courts Act, 1858."

Present:-
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly of New Zealand, intituled
"The Native Circuit Courts Act, 1858," it
is provided that it shall be lawful for the
Governor in Council from time to time to
appoint Districts for the purposes of the said
Act, being Districts over which the Native
Title shall not for the time being have been
extinguished:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Gover-
nor, by and with the advice and consent of
his Executive Council, doth hereby order,
appoint, and declare that the Territory here-
after described shall be a District for the
purposes of the said Act, that is to say: All
Territory lying within a boundary line com-
mencing at the mouth of the Waikato River
and following its course to Mangatawhiri,
thence along the course of that stream to
Paparata, thence in a South-easterly direc-
tion to and along a ridge of hills to a point
due East of the point of junction of the Waipa
and Horotiu Rivers at Ngaruawahia, thence
by a line passing through the said point of
junction at Ngaruawahia and continued
Westerly to the mouth of the river Waikoria
on the West Coast, thence Northerly along
the sea coast to the point of commencement;
excepting all lands over which the Native
Title has been extinguished within the mean-
ing of the said Act.
And doth appoint and declare that the said
District shall be called the Native District of
Lower Waikato.
And doth declare that this Order shall take
effect from and after the third day of
February, 1864.
