to be Registrar of Marriages, and Registrar
of Births, Deaths, and Marriages, for the
District of Wairarapa; and

JAMES EDWARD IND BOYS
to be Registrar of Marriages, and Registrar of
Births, Deaths, and Marriages, for the District
of Grey Town, as the said Districts are defined
in Proclamations bearing date 7th of August,
1863, and published in this Gazette.

THE following extract from General
Order No. 558, of the 28th July, pro-
mulgating the receipt in this Command of the
Mutiny Act, dated 20th April 1863, is pub-
lished for general information,

EXTRACT.
General Order No. 558.

Head Quarters,
Queen's Redoubt, 28th July, 1863.

  1. The Lieut. General Commanding
    notifies that an Act of the present session of
    the Parliament for the punishment of Mutiny
    and Desertion, dated 20th April 1863, has
    been received, and that in pursuance of the
    98th Clause of the Act, the same will take
    effect at the Head Quarters of the command
    from this date, and at the other stations on the
    receipt thereof, and all Officers are directed
    to make themselves acquainted with the par-
    ticulars contained therein.

Officers Commanding at out-stations will
report to the Assistant Military Secretary
the date of the Act coming into force at
their several stations.

and authority in me vested by the " Militia
Act, 1858."

I, Sir George Grey, K.C.B., the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby order
and direct you, Major General Galloway, the
Officer Commanding the Militia of the Auck-
land Districts with all couvenient speed to
draw out for actual service the men of the
Third Class of the First Battalion of the Auck-
land Regiment of Militia.

authority for this purpose vested in
me, I, T. J. Gallaway, the Officer Command-
ing in the Auckland Militia District, do
hereby fix and appoint the time and place

Class of the First Battalion of the Auckland
Regiment of Militia, which has been called
out for Actual Service, by Warrant under the
