MILITIA.

No. 1157.
By His Excellency Sir GEORGE
GREY, Knight Commander of
the Most Honourable Order of
the Bath, Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over
Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies,
&c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS by the "Militia Acts Amend-
ment Act, 1862," the Governor is em-
powered from time to time to call out the
whole or any part or number of any Regiment,
Battalion, Corps, or Company of Militia in any
District as he shall think fit. And it appears
to me expedient to call out for training and
exercise part of the Militia of the District of
Auckland hereinafter specified. Now there-
fore I, Sir George Grey, the Governor as
aforesaid, in pursuance of the said recited
power, do hereby call out for training and
exercise:

The First Class of the said Militia of the
Auckland District.

And I order Colonel Thomas Rawlings
Mould, C.B., the Officer commanding the said
District, to carry into effect this direction.

Given under my hand, at Govern-
ment House, at Auckland, this
fifteenth day of June, 1863.

NOTICE is hereby given that His Excel-
lency the Governor has been pleased to
make and issue the order hereunder set forth,
and the same is now published in pursuance
of the "Militia Acts Amendment Act, 1862."

Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same
&c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS it is provided by the "Militia
Acts Amendment Act, 1862," that the
number of days and hours for the meeting of
the Militia for any District for training and
exercise shall be from time to time fixed by
the Governor; and whereas it is deemed ex-
pedient to call out for training and exercise
certain portions of the Militia of the Militia
District of Auckland; Now therefore in pur-
suance and execution of this power and au-
thority conferred upon me by the said recited
Act, I do hereby fix the number of days and
hours during which that portion of the Mili-
tia of the Auckland District which is called
