THE following Circular from the Admiralty,
relative to rewards for the apprehension of
Naval Deserters, is published for general
information.

25th November, 1862.
My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty
having had under their consideration the
Rewards payable for the apprehension of
Deserters from Her Majesty's Ships, as laid
down in Article 3, Page 214, of Chapter 27,
of the Queen's Regulations and Admiralty
Instructions, wherein it is ordered that the
“sum of £3 is to be paid only for the appre-
hension of men who have been arrested within
three months from the date of their having
deserted, and £2 after the expiration of that
time;” and their Lordships are pleased to
direct that, after three months, and within six
months, from the date of Desertion, £2 shall
be paid for the apprehension of Deserters,—
that after six and within twelve months, £1
only shall be paid,—and that after twelve
months not any reward shall be paid, unless
specially ordered by their Lordships.

Tenders for Firewood.
Colonial Secretary's Office,
Auckland, 6th April, 1863.
TENDERS will be received at this office,
until noon of Monday, 20th April inst.,
for furnishing the offices of the General Go-
vernment with Firewood, in such quantities as
may be required, for the six months commenc-
ing the 1st May next. To be delivered at the
Public Offices. The rates per ton to
be specified for the usual size, and also for such
as may be required to be cut and split to suit
the fireplaces in the public offices.

Tenders for Coal.

Auckland, 9th Aprli, 1863.
TENDERS will be received at this office
until noon of Monday the 20th instant,
for furnishing the offices of the General Go-
vernment with coal in such quantities as may
be required for the six months commencing
the 1st May next. The rates per ton to be
specified. For best English coal screened and
delivered at the public offices, in 1 cwt. bags;
and for best Newcastle (N.S. W.) coal, screened
and delivered at the public offices in 1 cwt.

MONEY ORDER OFFICE.

Auckland, 7th April, 1863.
NOTICE is hereby given that Money
Orders will be issued on and after the 1st
of May next, at any Money Order Office in
New Zealand for the transmission of money to
the Colony of WESTERN AUSTRALIA.
Commission will be charged on Money
Orders issued at the following rates. For any
sum
Not exceeding £5................ One shilling
Above £5 and under £10......... Two shillings
No single order will be issued for a greater
amount than Ten pounds.
Money Orders may be obtained and be made
payable at the following places, viz.—
