No. 1. This boat will leave Port Chalmers, immediately on the arrival of the mail steamer from
Melbourne, on any day from the 18th to the 24th of each month, inclusive; and if delayed after
the 18th, will remain at intermediate ports, as a rule, on her Northward trip, only long enough
to receive and deliver mails.
No. 3. This boat will, if necessary, await the arrival of the mail steamer from Sydney at Auck-
land for one day..

Parliament sat at General Assembly House (nicknamed the 'Shedifice') in Auckland from 1854-1864, sharing the building with the Auckland Provincial Council.

Ironically the Upper House met on the lower story, and the Lower House on the upper story.
