Council of the Province of Otago, inti-
tuled-

"Otago Loan Ordinance, 1861,"
which Bill was reserved for the signification of
the Governor's pleasure thereon, having been
laid before the Governor, His Excellency nas
been pleased to assent to the same.

Licensing Officer under the provisions of the

Esquire, whose appointment is cancelled.

to be Receiver of Land Revenue for the Pro-
vince of Marlborough, the appointment to bear
date from the 1st December, 1861.

TENDER FOR BOAT.
Colonial Secretary's Office,
Auckland, 6th December, 1861.
TENDERS will be received at this Office
until noon of Monday, the 16th inst.,
for the supply of a Boat and a pair of Oars, for
the service of the Gun Boat "Caroline."
The boat to be clinker-built, copper fastened,
15 feet overall. The oars to be American
Ash, each 15 feet in length.
Further particulars can be obtained on ap-
plication to the Master of the "Caroline."

has been extinguished over the blocks of
land, whereof the boundaries are mentioned or
described in the Schedule hereunto annexed.

District of Whangarei.—Mirowhakatiki
Block.
Estimated to contain about 5,500 acres.
Boundaries,—
Commencing at Wairua river, below Purua,
and following along Mr. Bedlington's survey
line bearing by compass 116° 0', 13,252
links, to Ruatangata, 171° 33', 6001 links,
327° 1', 8122 links, to Patuwairua river,
thence along that river to the survey line run-
ning to Popoki, 266° 40', 13,322 links,
thence to Kaitara, 1°, 10,002 links, 13° 51',
9648 links, to Maruarua, following it for a
short distance to the survey line bearing 299°
10', 7035 links, 108° 5', 14,221 links, to the
Wairua river, thence following the course of
Wairua to Mr. Bedlington's survey line, the
point of commencement.

Ruatangata Block.
Estimated to contain about 5,450 acres.
Boundaries,—
Commencing at Okahanga on the Wairua
river, and following along Mr. Bedlington's
survey line, bearing by compass 279° 58',
7380 links, 282° 24', 2641 links, to the Mo-
tu on the Waipiu river, thence in the course of
that river to Patuwairua river, thence along
the Patuwairua river to the survey line bear-
ing 327° 1', 8122 links, 171° 33', 6,001
links, to Ruatangata, 116° 0', 13,252 links,
to the Wairua river, thence following the course
of the Wairua river to Okahanga, to the point
of commencement.

ERRATA.—In Gazette No. 50, of the 29th
November 1861, folio 314, for "James Ball"
read "Thomas Ball;" and for "William
Thomas Buckland," read "William Thorne
