TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL
COME, GREETING:
WHEREAS by "The Regulation of
Elections Act, 1858, it is enacted that
it shall be lawful for the Governor by Warrant
under his hand from time to time to appoint
Polling Places for each Electoral District,
within or without the limits thereof, and to
appoint any one of such places to be the
Principal Polling Place for the District, and all
or any of such Polling Places at any time to
abolish, and to appoint other Polling Places in
lieu thereof:
And whereas by Warrant under the hand of
the Governor, bearing date the thirty-first day
of October, one thousand eight hundred and
sixty,-
Mr. T. Stewart's residence at Ngunguru, and
Mr. H. Atkin's station at Mangawhare,
Wairoa, Kaipara,
were appointed Polling Places for the District
of Marsden, as constituted by the "Represen-
tation Act, 1860," for the election of Members
of the House of Representatives: And
whereas it is expedient to abolish the same:
Now know ye that I, Thomas Gore Browne,
the Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance
of the power and authority in me vested by the
said Act, do hereby abolish the above named
Polling Places for the said District of Marsden
for the election of Members of the House of
Representatives, and do hereby appoint the
following places to be Polling Places for the
said District for the election of Members of
the House of Representatives, namely:-
Mr. William Harrison's residence, Manga-
pai, and
Mr. Robert Skeen's residence, Mangawai.
Given under my hand, at the Go-
vernment House, at Auckland,
this twenty-sixth day of August,
in the year of our Lord, one
thousand eight hundred and
sixty-one.

Warrant appointing Coroner's District of
Mahurangi.

GORE BROWNE, Companion of
the Most Honorable Order of
the Bath, Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over
Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same,
&c., &c., &c.
WHEREAS by the "Coroner's Act,
1858" the Governor is empowered in
the manner therein mentioned to appoint fit
persons to be Coroners of the several districts
of the Colony of New Zealand, and from
time to time to define the districts within
which such Coroners shall respectively have
jurisdiction, and every such definition to
revoke or amend, and the limits of such dis-
tricts to alter as occasion may require.
Now, therefore, I, Thomas Gore Browne,
the Governor of the said Colony, in pur-
suance of the said power and authority, do
hereby define the district of
Mahurangi
in the Province of Auckland, to be all the ter-
ritory comprised within the limits following:
that is to say, bounded on the North by the
line from the junction of the Kaitoto and
Hotea Rivers, known as the division between
the Electoral Districts of Marsden and the
Northern Division; on the East by the Sea,
from Hanere Island to the Orewa River, on
the South by the Orewa River to its source
and by the Southern boundary of the Wainui
Parish, and on the West by the Western
boundary of the Wainui Parish and the
Ahuroa Block to the junction of the Kaitoto
and Hotea Rivers.
Given under my hand at Govern-
ment House at Auckland, this
