lished for general information.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
Queen Charlotte's Sound.
A black buoy surmounted by a red beacon,
with "Luke Rock" painted thereon, has been
placed (temporarily) off the rock bearing the
name. The buoy bears (magnetic) as follows:
From Point Dieffenbach, N.W. N. mile.
Points forming Fly Bay { East, S. by W.
West, E. S.
Bearing of Luke Rock from buoy N.W.
about mile.
This rock being of great extent, strangers are
cautioned against standing into Fly Bay, be-
tween the buoy and bearings given.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Licensing
Officers under the "Arms Act, 1860"
have been authorised to grant Licenses for the
sale of Ammunition for Sporting purposes to
Settlers, on the following conditions:-

Every proposed purchaser not on the
Commission of the Peace, or personally known
to the Licensing Officer, to be recommended in
writing by a Justice of the Peace. -
No person to have a License for sporting
purposes for more than 1 lb. of Powder, 10 lb.
of Shot, and 500 caps, per Quarter.

IT is hereby notified for general information,
that correspondence for the Italian Pro-
vinces of Naples and Sicily will be subject
henceforward to the same rates of postage,
and in all other respects to the same conditions,
as correspondence addressed to other parts
of the Italian Kingdom:βbeing forwarded by
way of Malta to its destination, on payment of
the Sea Postage rate of 6d. per letter not ex-
ceeding half an ounce in weight.
This notice is in continuation of that pub-
lished in the Government Gazette of the 3rd
May, 1861, No. 21.

land, deceased, intestate.
PURSUANT to the Rule of this Honorable
Court, the Creditors of the above-named
Intestate are, on or before the fifth day of
October next, to come in and prove their debts
before Thomas Outhwaite, Esq., Registrar
of the Supreme Court, at his office in the
Court House, Queen-street, Auckland, or in de-
fault thereof, they will be peremptorily excluded
from all benefit arising from the said Estate.
