A PROCLAMATION,
Appointing Circuit Courts to be held at
Dunedin.

the Most Honorable Order of the
Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same, &c., &c., &c.
TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL
COME, GREETING:
W HEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly of New Zealand, intituled,
"The Supreme Courts Act, 1860," it is pro-
vided that there shall be held Circuit Courts
for the despatch of civil and criminal business
of the Court before one of the Judges thereof
at such places and times as the Governor in
Council may from time to time appoint. And
whereas by a Proclamation dated the 26th day
of February, 1861, Circuit Courts were ap-
pointed to be held for the Southern District of
the said Colony at the Town of Christchurch
on the days therein mentioned, and it is ex-
pedient that Circuit Courts shall be also held
for the said District at Dunedin:
Now therefore I, the Governor, with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
appoint that Circuit Courts shall be held at
Dunedin in the Southern District of the said
Colony on the 15th day of January and the
15th day of July, in every year, or so soon
after each of the said days as conveniently may
be. And in case any one of the said days so
fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a Sunday
or holiday, then the Court appointed for such
day shall be held on the day following.

Warrant abolishing Polling Places and
appointing others in lieu thereof.

Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same, &c., &c., &c.
TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL
COME GREETING: —
W HEREAS by "The Regulation of
Elections Act, 1858," it is enacted that
it shall be lawful for the Governor by Warrant
under his hand from time to time to appoint
Polling Places for each Electoral District
within or without the limits thereof, and to
appoint any one of such Places to be the
Principal Polling Place for the District, and
all or any of such Polling Places at any time
to abolish, and to appoint other Polling Places
in lieu thereof:
And whereas by Warrant under the hand of
the Governor bearing date the first day of
June, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-
nine, Mr. Beale's House of Accommodation,
Hawkesbury Bush, and the premises of H. C.
Hertslett, Esquire, Oamaru, were ap-
pointed Polling Places for the Northern
District for the election of the Superintendent
and of Members of the Provincial Council of
the Province of Otago.
And whereas it is expedient to abolish the
same:
Now know ye that I, Thomas Gore Browne,
the Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance
of the power and authority in me vested by
the said Act, do hereby abolish the above
named Polling Places for the Northern District
for the election of the Superintendent and of
Members of the Provincial Council of the
Province of Otago, and appoint in lieu thereof
—Mr. James Mitchell's Store at Waikouatie,
and the Provincial Government Store at
Oamaru.
