T HE following Bills passed by the Provin-
cial Council of Canterbury, intituled :-
"The Lyttelton and Christchurch Railway
Ordinance, Sess. XI, No. 13."
"The Loan Ordinance, Sess. XI, No. 14,"
which Bills were reserved for the signification
of the Governor's pleasure thereon, having been
laid before the Governor in conformity with
the provisions of the Constitution Act, His
Excellency has been pleased to withhold his
assent to the same.

IT is hereby notified that a Writ issued for
the election of a Member to serve in the
House of Representatives for the District of the
Town of Christchurch has been returned with
an endorsement thereon to the effect that
HENRY SEWELL of Christchurch,
has been duly elected.

of New Zealand, the following notice is
published for general information.

ARCHDEACONRY OF WAIKATO.

The Bishop of New Zealand, under the
powers recognized by Her Majesty's Letters
Patent, has constituted an Archdeaconry, to be
called the ARCHDEACONRY OF WAIKATO,
bounded on the North by the Archdeaconry of
Waitemata, on the South by the Diocese of
Wellington, and on the East by the Diocese of
Waiapu, and on the West by the Archdeaconry
of Taranaki, and has appointed the
REV. ROBERT MAUNSELL
to be the Archdeacon thereof.

to be Registrar of Marriages and Registrar of

In the Estates of ANDREW WEBSTER De-
ceased Intestate, and EDWARD PHILIP
STREETER of Auckland, Deceased Intestate.

PURSUANT to the Rule of this Honoura-
ble Court the Creditors of the above-
named Intestates are on or before the Twenty
fourth day of April next to come in and prove
their Debts before Thomas Outhwaite Esquire,
Registrar of the said Court, at his office in the
Court house Queen-street Auckland or in de-
fault thereof they will be peremptorily excluded
from all benefit arising from the said Estates.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance
of the provisions of the Imprisonment
for debt Ordinance, Session 3 No. 7, the Court
will sit at Auckland on Monday the Twentieth
day of February next for the hearing of appli-
cations for relief and for the despatch of all
business arising under the provisions of the
above Ordinance.
