THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
of any tenements or hereditaments comprised
within the limits of the said Province on the
Electoral Roll of that one of the said Districts,
within which such tenements and heriditaments
are situate. And within twenty-eight days
from the date hereof, the Electoral Rolls so to
be formed as aforesaid shall be published in the
New Zealand Gazette, and from and after the
day of such publication the several Rolls shall
be the Electoral Rolls to be used respectively
for the said Districts for the election of Mem-
bers of the said Provincial Council, until new
Electoral Rolls shall be made for the same
under the provisions of the law for the time
being in force for the Registration of Electors.

SCHEDULE ABOVE REFERRED TO.
PICTON DISTRICT.
Comprises that portion of the Province,
bounded towards the North and East, by the
Coast line, from the North-west corner of the
Province at Tennyson's Inlet to the East-end
of the range of hills dividing White's Bay from
Robin Hood's Bay; thence, towards the South,
by a right line to a point in the Tua Marina
Valley five miles due North from the mouth of
Tua Marina River, thence by a right line to a
point in the Kaituna Valley seven miles from
the Wairau River, thence by a line to the sum-
mit of the range of hills dividing the Pelorus
and Wairau Rivers, thence by a line along the
said summit to Mount Richmond; thence,
towards the West and North-west, by a right
line to the Red Hills, and thence by the North-
western boundary of the Province to Tennyson's
Inlet.
BEAVER DISTRICT.
Comprises sections numbers one and three,
Omaka.
LOWER WAIRAU DISTRICT.
Comprises that portion of the Wairau Plain,
(with the exception of the District of Beaver)
bounded towards the West, by a line of road
passing between sections 101 and 105 Wairau
West and Blocks 50 and 51 in the Omaka
District, and a line produced at both ends from
the said line of road in the same direction until
it intersects towards the North, the South line
boundary of the District of Picton, and, towards
the South, the summit of the dividing range
between the Wairau and Awatere Districts;
towards the North by part of the Southern
boundary of the District of Picton, from the
point of intersection of the aforesaid Western
boundary line to the Sea; thence, towards the
East, by the Coast line to the East-end of the
said dividing range between the Wairau and
Awatere Districts; thence towards the South
and South-east, by a line along the said divid-
ing range until it intersects the West boundary
line.
UPPER WAIRAU DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the East by the Lower
Wairau District; thence, towards the North, by
part of the District of Picton, from the North-
west point of the Lower Wairau District to a
point due North of the Mouth of the Waihopai
River; thence towards the West by the
Waihopai River to Ben-opai, thence by a line
running due South over the summit of
Ben-opai to the summit of the dividing range
between the Wairau and Awatere Districts;
thence towards the South by a line along the
said dividing range until it reaches the South-
west point of the Lower Wairau District.
WAIRAU VALLEY DISTRICT.
Bounded, towards the North and North-east,
by part of the District of Picton, from the
North-west point of the Upper Wairau District
to the Red-hills; thence, towards the West, by
the West boundary of the Province to a point
midway between the Top-house and Barefell's
Pass; thence, towards the South and South-east,
by a line running in an Easterly direction to
the summit of the dividing range between the
Wairau and the Awatere Districts, and along
the said range until it reaches the South-west
point of the Upper Wairau District; thence,
towards the East, by the Upper Wairau
District.
AWATERE DISTRICT.
Bounded, towards the North and North-
west, by the Districts of Lower and Upper
Wairau, and Wairau Valley; thence, towards
the West, by the boundary of the Province
from the South-west point of the Wairau
Valley District to the confluence of the Guide
with the Acheron; thence, towards the South
and South-east, by a line running East to the
summit of the dividing range between the
Awatere and Clarence Rivers, and thence by a
line along the said range, and by the
watershed on the South-east side of the
Awatere River to the Sea; thence, towards the
East, by the coast line to the South-east point
of the Lower Wairau District.
FLAXBOURNE AND CLARENCE DISTRICTS.
Bounded, towards the the North-West and
North, by the Awatere District; thence,
towards the East and South-east, by the coast
line to the mouth of the Conway; thence,
towards the South, South-west and West, by
the boundary of the Province to the confluence
of the Guide with the Acheron,
