to be Coroner under "The Coroners' Act,

to be Native Assessors for the Districts of
Kaiapoi and Amuri.

TENDERS will be received at this office,
until noon of Monday, the 30th instant,
for the supply of the undermentioned articles
in quantities as they may be required from
time to time by the General Government, for
the half-year ending 30th June, 1860.
Biscuit @ 1/2 lb. (sample to be deposited)
Bread, @ 2lb. loaf
Rice, @ 1/2 lb. (sample to be deposited)
Sugar, @ 1/2 lb. (sample to be deposited)
Tea, @ 1/4 lb. (sample to be deposited)
Pork (fresh), @ 1/2 lb.
Pork (salt), @ 1/2 lb.
Beef (fresh), @ 1/2 lb.
Beef (salt), @ 1/2 lb.
Potatoes, @ 100lbs.
Firewood, @ 1/2 ton.
The above articles to be of good marketable
quality of their respective kinds and according
to sample where samples have been deposited.
It is the wish of the Government, for the
sake of convenience, to contract with one
person for the supply of all the articles enu-
merated in the above list.
The Government will not be bound to
accept the lowest or any Tender.
Tenders to be sealed and endorsed "Ten-
ders for Provisions."
Further particulars to be obtained on ap-
plication at this office.
