West along high-water mark to the mouth of
the Remuera Stream in Hobson's Bay, thence
South along that stream to the Tamaki Road,
thence Westward along that road to the Epsom
Road, thence South along the Epsom Road to
the Great South Road, thence South-East

commencement.

No. 4 COMPANY
To comprise all those liable to serve as
Militiamen whose places of abode for the time
being are—
Within a line commencing at the sea-
ward termination of the road dividing
the sections numbered 4 and 8 of the
Parish of Pakuranga, thence E. and S. along
the roads forming the outer boundaries of sec-
tions numbered 8, 13, 17, 17A, 17B, 24, 28,
and 30, of that Parish, to the Wharau Creek,
thence crossing that Creek to the termination
of the road dividing the sections numbered 37
and 39 of the same Parish, thence following
the roads forming the outer boundaries of the
sections numbered 39, 102, 109, 110, 64, 66,
111, and 112 of the same Parish, thence
Southerly along a road to the S. E. angle of
the section numbered 34 of the Parish of Manu-
rewa, thence Westerly along a road to the S.W.
angle of the same section, thence Southerly
along a road to the S.E. angle of the section
numbered 27A, of the same Parish, thence S.
Easterly along the road forming the N. E.
boundary of "Clendon's Grant," to the Eastern
angle of that block, thence in a right line N.E.
to the junction of two roads within the section
numbered 164 of the Parish of Pakuranga,
thence N.W. along the road crossing sections
numbered 134 and 164, bounding the Parish,
and again crossing section numbered 132 of
the Parish of Pakuranga, to a point opposite
the N.W. angle of the section numbered 32 of
the Parish of Maraetai, thence in a right line
N.E. to the point last named, thence following
the road forming the N. W. boundary of the
sections numbered 32 and 36 of that parish,
to the northern angle of section 36, thence in
a right line N.E. to the sea at the South-
Eastern angle of the Native Reserve at
Umupuia near the mouth of the Wairoa River,
thence along high-water mark to the East
head of the Tamaki River, thence up that river
to the point of commencement.

No. 5 COMPANY.
To comprise all those liable to serve as
Militiamen whose places of abode for the time
bieng are—
Within a line commencing at the sea-
ward terination of the road forming
the South-east boundary of "Clendon's
Great," thence N. E. along that road
to the E. angle of that block, thence in a right
line N.E. to the junction of two roads within
the section numbered 164 of the Parish of Pa-
kuranga, thence N.W. along the road crossing
sections numbered 164 and 134, bounding the
Parish, and again crossing the section num-
bered 132 of the Parish of Pakuranga to a
point opposite the N.W. angle of sections num-
bered 32 of the Parish of Maraetai, thence in a
right line N.E. to the point last named, thence
following the road forming the N.W. boundary
of the sections numbered 32 and 36 of that
Parish to the Northern angle of the section
numbered 36, thence in a right line N.E. to
the sea at the South-eastern angle of the Na-
tive reserve at the Umupuia near the mouth
of the Wairoa river, thence Southerly along
that river to the point where it is cut by a cir-
cle having a radius of twenty miles from the
Police office at Auckland, thence following that
circle South-westerly till it strikes the Slippery
Creek at Drury, thence Northward and West-
ward along that Creek and the Pahurehure
Creek to the Manukau harbor, thence North-
ward along high-water mark to the point of
commencement.

4TH BATTALION.

B
Y virtue and in exercise of the authority
in me vested, I, Thomas Gore Browne,
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint and declare that the 4th Batta-
lion shall comprise all those liable to serve
as Militiamen whose places of abode for
the time being are within that part of the
Auckland Militia District as is situate on the
North side of the Waitemata River.

This Battalion will be hereafter divided into
Companies.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the power
and authority in me vested by the "Mi-
litia Act, 1858," I, Thomas Gore Browne, Go-
vernor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby order and direct you, Thomas Rawlings
Mould, the Colonel commanding the Militia
of the Auckland District, with all convenient
speed, to draw out, for actual service, the said
Militia, and cause the several Battalions and
Companies to assemble at such times and places
as shall be fixed by you for that purpose.

ORDER.

THE Colonel Commanding the Auckland
Regiment of New Zealand Militia, orders
that the several Companies of the 1st or
Auckland Battalion shall assemble for actual
service as follows: —

No. 1 Company, at 3 o'clock p.m. on Wed-
nesday the 2nd May, 1860, at the Albert Bar-
racks.
No. 2 Company at 3 o'clock p.m. on Thurs-
day the 3rd May, 1860, at the Albert Barracks.
No. 3 Company at 3 o'clock p.m. on Friday
the 4th May, 1860, at the Albert Barracks.
No. 4 Company at 3 o'clock p.m. on Satur-
day the 5th May, 1860, at the Albert Barracks.
No. 5 Company at 3 o'clock p.m. on Mon-
day the 7th May, 1860, at the Albert Barracks.
