with the provisions of the Constitution Act,
His Excellency has been pleased to withhold
his assent to the same.

formity with the provisions of the Constitution
Act, His Excellency has been pleased to leave
the same to their operation

TENDERS will be received at this office,
until noon of Monday, the 9th instant,
for the charter of Two Sailing Vessels in the
Manukau to act as Gun Boats, a person being
taken with each Vessel to act as Pilot and
otherwise, when required to take charge of the
Craft.
The Vessels are to be ready for being fitted
up as Gun-Boats immediately, and the fittings
will be furnished by H.M.S. "Niger."
The Vessels, when no longer required, will
be restored in the same state as when they were
hired.
The Tender to specify the rate of remune-
ration required for each Month. The Contract
to be terminable at the option of the Govern-
ment at a month's notice.
The Government does not bind itself to ac-
cept the lowest or any of the Tenders.
