Westerly direction along the Kaitaia river
until it reaches a stream which it follows as far
as the bridge, thence bounded by a line bearing
120°—390 links thence by a line running
West to Kote Kani where there is a marked
Puriri tree, thence along Mr. Clarke's survey
line until it joins the Manurawa road, which it
follows as far as Te Tiki a Taiki, and bounded
thence by a line running in an easterly direc-
tion to Opiki where the boundary closes.

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME
GREETING:

WHEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly intituled "The Regulation of
Elections Act, 1858," it is enacted that it
shall be lawful for the Governor by Warrant
under his hand, from time to time, to appoint
Polling Places for each Electoral District
within or without the limits thereof, and to
appoint any one of such places to be the
Principal Polling Place for the District, and
all or any of such Polling Places at any time
to abolish, and to appoint other Polling
Places in lieu thereof: AND WHEREAS by
another Act of the General Assembly intituled
"The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," it is
enacted that, subject to certain provisions
therein contained, every Election of the Super-
intendent, or of a Member of the Provincial
Council of a Province, shall be conducted in
the manner prescribed by "The Regulation
of Elections Act, 1858," aforesaid, and all the
provisions of the said last mentioned Act shall
apply to the Election of Superintendents and
Members of Provincial Councils:

NOW KNOW YE, that I, Thomas Gore
Browne, the Governor of the said Colony, in
pursuance of the power and authority in me
vested by the said Acts, do hereby appoint the
Court House in the Town of New Plymouth
to be the Polling Place for the respective
Districts hereinafter specified for the Election
of the Superintendent and of Members of the
Provincial Council of the Province of Tara-
naki, namely,—

For the Town of New Plymouth,
For the Grey and Bell Districts, and
For the Omata District.

And I do further appoint the said Court
House to be the Principal Polling Place for
each of the said Districts.

ment House, at Auckland,
this seventeenth day of Feb-
ruary, in the year of Our
Lord, One thousand eight
hundred and fifty-nine.

in the dates of Commissions which appeared in
the Gazette dated 13th December, 1858,
namely,

F. G. STEWARD, to be Captain, 8th De-
cember, 1858—instead of 21st June,
1858.

T. H. ELY, to be 1st Lieutenant, 8th
December, 1858—instead of 7th
August, 1858.
