THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
Aboriginal Inhabitants of New Zealand, and
it is expedient that the acquisition thereof should
be notified by Proclamation accordingly.
Now, therefore, I, the Governor, do hereby
proclaim and notify that the Native Title has
been extinguished over the Blocks of Land,
whereof the boundaries are mentioned or des-
cribed in the Schedule hereunto annexed.

SCHEDULE
PROVINCE OF AUCKLAND.
DISTRICT OF MANGONUI.
Kohumaru Block.
Area 14,062 acres.
The boundary commences at the line of the
Whakapaku block, from thence to the stream
Patupokopoko, from thence to Putakaka, Ta-
rawa-tangata, Te Tikiopokerehu, Te Wai-o-te
Tawapuku, Te Pa-o-te Pakaru, Otangaroa-o-
matai, crossing the river Kohumaru until it
joins the boundary of Berghan's claim on the
Oruaiti stream, from thence until it meets the
line of the Whakapaku block where it first
started.
DISTRICT OF MANGONUI.
Puheke Block.
Estimated area 6000 acres.
The boundary commences at Parakerake,
from thence to Te Mata, Taratepetepe, along
the outer side of Mount Puheke, until it reaches
the coast on the Rangaunu side, from thence
to Davis line and Matthews' line, following
those lines, until it reaches the coast on the east
side, then following the coast line, until it
reaches Parakorake, where it commenced.
DISTRICT OF MANGONUI.
Waiake Block.
Area 6950 acres.
The boundary commences at Wero Wero
from thence to Puketoetoe, Mangakowhara, Te
Kahiwiroa, Te Wai-o-Tukai, Pehuetaranaki, Te
Wai-Whakahaukiwi, Te Rakaupahore, and Mr.
Matthews' line, it follows Mr. Matthews' line as
far as Te Whakautu, it crosses the stream Wha-
kautu, from thence until it reaches Ohia, at Mr.
Matthews' line, here it turns and follows the
Lake until it reaches Wai Wero Wero, where
the line commenced.
DISTRICT OF MANGONUI.
Ohinu Block.
Area 2703 acres.
The boundaries are these, Mr. John Smith's
line on the one side. the lines of Messrs. Ford,
Puckey and Matthews on the other side, then
the land belonging to the Church Mission, and
the stream Ohinu, to where it finishes.

DISTRICT OF MANGONUI.
Kaiawe Block.
Area 1375 acres.
The boundary begins at the line of the
property of the Church Mission, it follows that
line in a straight direction to the Native Land,
then in a Westerly direction to where it
turns, then in a Northerly direction to Te Peri
Peri, it follows the survey line until it joins the
property of the Church Mission, where it first
began at Waihakaru.
DISTRICT OF THE BAY OF ISLANDS.
Matawerohia Block.
Area 3746 acres.
Commencing at the stream called Rakau-
tao on the river Waihuka, from thence towards
Te Painga, from thence along the ranges tow-
ards Torohanga, Taumata Totara, Pukekohe,
Te Ruruanga, Manuwhakatarea, Te Rimu-
whakataratara, Te Ara Para; it turns tow-
ards Te Honikura, from thence towards Te
Waiaumahanga to the river Taita until it
reaches Mr. Shepherd's boundary line, it follows
that line until it joins the river Waihuka, it fol-
lows the Waihuka to the Rakautao stream at
the commencement of the boundary.
DISTRICT OF THE BAY OF ISLANDS.
Kawa Kawa Block (north side).
Estimated area 15,000 acres.
Commencing at Whangai on the Northern
side, from thence it follows the river Kawa Kawa
until it reaches the line of the reserve set apart
for Te Pukututu just above the Pa, it follows
that line in a straight direction to Te Hautapu
on the outline survey from thence in a North-
erly direction along the line to the stream called
Wero Wero, thence along the survey line until
it reaches Te Hauotapiri, Puketutu, Ohamua,
Te Kohore, Pukerewarewa, Pungorungoru, Te
Rotopouri, until it joins Whangai at the com-
mencement of the boundary line.
DISTRICT OF THE BAY OF ISLANDS.
Te Kauri Block.
Area 289 acres.
Commencing at the point called Te Kauri,
from thence along the Mangonui river to the
Karikaringa, from thence to Wainui until it
reaches the line of Potter's claim, from thence
in an inland direction to the line of the Wairoa
Government Block, it follows that line until it
reaches Te Kauri, where the boundary first
commenced.
DISTRICT OF THE BAY OF ISLANDS.
Patunui Block.
Area 188 acres.
The boundary commences at Te Tokatea,
from thence along the Mangonui river as far as
Tangitu, from thence in an inland direction to
Capt. Bolger's line, from thence it follows the
ridge until it reaches Te Tokatea, where the
boundary commenced.
DISTRICT OF THE BAY OF ISLANDS.
Wharau Block.
Area 18 acres.
The boundary commences at the creek called
Pihoi, from thence along the Keri Keri river
until it reaches the Kariapaua, from thence in an
inland direction to the hill Pukekaititi, from
thence into the Pihoi creek, it follows that
creek to the entrance where it first commenced.
