PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency Colonel THOMAS
GORE BROWNE, Companion of the
most Honorable Order of the
Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand, and Vice-
Admiral of the same, &c., &c.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly, intituled "The Naturalization Act, 1858," it is enacted
that "every person who shall be declared to
come within the operation of this Act by any
Proclamation to be issued in that behalf by His
Excellency the Governor, shall, as from the
time in such Proclamation specified, be deemed
and taken, until the termination of the next
Session of the General Assembly, to be and to
have been, from such specified time, a natural
born subject of her Majesty within the Colony
of New Zealand, as fully to all intents and
purposes, as if his name had been inserted in
the Schedule hereunto annexed: Provided
always, that every such Proclamation shall
contain the description, occupation, or calling,
of every person therein named, and his place
of residence at the date of such Proclamation.
Now, therefore, I, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the
power and authority in me vested by the said
Act, do hereby proclaim and declare, that the
persons hereinafter mentioned shall come within
the operation of the said Act, from the several
dates hereinafter respectively specified, viz.,

From the first day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and fifty-nine; Native of Ger-
many; Merchant; Residence, Wellington, Pro-
vince of Wellington.
JOHN FREDERICK SCHOTTLER,
From the first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and fifty-nine; Native of Prussia;
Cabinet-maker; Residence, Auckland, in the
Province of Auckland,
AUGUSTE SCHÖTTLER,
Wife of the said John Frederick Schöttler;
from the said first day of July, one thousand
eight hundred and fifty-nine; Native of Prussia,
Residence, Auckland, Province of Auckland.
ERNEST CHARLES SCHÖTTLER,
Son of the said John Frederick Schöttler and
Auguste Schöttler; from the said first day of
July, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-

COME, GREETING :
WHEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly, intituled "The Regulation
of Elections Act, 1858," it is enacted that it
shall be lawful for the Governor by Warrant
under his hand, from time to time, to appoint
Polling Places for each Electoral District
within or without the limits thereof, and to
appoint any one of such places to be the
Principal Polling Place for the District, and all
or any of such Polling Places at any time to
abolish, and to appoint other Polling Places in
lieu thereof;
Now know Ye, that I, Thomas Gore
Browne, the Governor of the said Colony, in
pursuance of the power and authority in me
vested by the said Act, do hereby appoint the
following place to be a Polling Place for
the Dunedin Country District, in the Province
of Otago, for the Election of Members of the
House of Representatives, namely:
THE SCHOOL-ROOM AT INCH CLUTHA,
instead of the School-house, Clutha, as ap-
pointed by Warrant dated the first day of
June, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-
nine.

land, this twelfth day of Sep-
tember, in the year of Our
Lord, One thousand eight
hundred and fifty-nine.
