THE following Act passed by the General
Assembly of New Zealand, in the Ses-
sion held in the twenty-first and twenty-second
years of the Reign of Her Majesty Queen
Victoria, intituled-

No. 39--"An Act to bring into operation
within the Colony of New Zealand, certain
provisions of "The Merchant Shipping Act,
1854."

having been 'laid before the Queen, in con-
formity with the provisions of the Constitution
Act, Her Majesty has been graciously pleased
to leave the same to its operation.

Gellibrand's Point, in lieu of the Lighthouse at
that place.

LIGHTSHIP OFF GELLIBRAND'S POINT, PORT
PHILLIP.

Masters of vessels and others navigating
Port Phillip Bay, are hereby informed that on
and after the twenty-fifth day of July next, a
temporary Lightship will be moored in four
and a half fathoms water, in the position at
present occupied by the Black Perch Buoy, off
Gellibrand's Point.

This lightship will exhibit two white fixed
lights, twenty-four feet apart, and forty feet
above the level of the water.

These lights will be seen at a distance of
ten miles, allowing ten feet for the height of
the eye, and at lesser distances according to
the state of the atmosphere.

On and after the exhibition of these lights,
the red light at present shown from the tower
at Gellibrand's Point will be extinguished.

deceased Intestate.

PURSUANT to the Rule of this Hon-
ourable Court, the Creditors of the above
named Intestate are, on or before the fourteenth
day of October next, to come in and prove
their Debts before Thomas Outhwaite, Esquire,
Registrar of the said Court, at his office in the
Court House, Queen-street, Auckland, or, in
default thereof, they will be peremptorily
excluded from all benefit arising from the
said Estate.
