TURANGA OR POVERTY BAY DISTRICT.

Bounded on the North by a line from Cape
Runaway to the summit of Raukumera, thence
by a line to the source of Raukituri to its
junction with the Wairoa, thence down the mid
channel of the Wairoa to its junction with the
southern boundary of the Province. On the
south by the southern boundary of the Province,
being the 39th degree of south latitude. On
the East by the sea,—including East Island.

NEW PLYMOUTH.

Bounded on the North by the River Mokau
to its source. On the East by a right line
running from the source of the river Mokau
to the point where the Ngahuinga or Tuhua
the principal tributary of the Wanganui river
is intersected by the thirty-ninth parallel of
south latitude, thence by the river Whanganui
to the point where it is met by the Tauma-
tamahoe Path, leading from the river Waitera
thence by a right line running from the above-
described point on the Whanganui river to the
mouth of the river Patea. On the West by
the coast line,—including the islands adjacent
thereto. On the South by the coast line,—
including the islands adjacent thereto.

WELLINGTON DISTRICT.

Bounded on the North by the river Mana-
watu, from Cook's Strait to the gorge of the
said river in the Ruahine Mountains. On
the South by Cook's Strait. On the East by
the Rimutaka and Tararua Mountains. On
the West by Cook's Strait.

WANGANUI DISTRICT.

Bounded on the North by the northern
boundary of the Province from Cook's Strait
to the Ruahine Mountains. On the South
by the river Manawatu from Cook's Strait
to the gorge of the said river Manawatu in
the Ruahine Mountains. On the East by
the Ruahine Mountains. On the West by
Cook's Strait.

AHURIRI DISTRICT.

From a line commencing at a stream called
Waimata, near Cape Turnagain, running
along the Northern boundary of Puke-toi to
Puke-toi range, thence in a straight line to where
Te-rua-mea falls into Manawatu River, near
Awa Purua, thence along the Manawatu River,
to the gorge in the Ruahine Mountains, thence
along the summit of the said Mountains to
latitude 39° 30' South, thence in a right line
to a point in latitude 39° South, longitude
176° 30' East, thence in an Easterly direction
along the 39th parallel of South latitude to the
sea coast, and thence Southwards along the
coast line, including the islands adjacent thereto,
to the Waimata Stream.

WAIRARAPA DISTRICT.

Bounded on the North by the Southern
boundary of the Ahuriri District, on the South
by Palliser Bay, on the East by the Coast, and
on the West by the Rimutaka and Tararua
Mountains.

AORERE DISTRICT.

From Wakapoai Point, to Point Pillar,
thence along the sea coast to Rangiaieta, thence
along watershed summit to Slate River Peak,
Lead Hill and Mount Olympus, thence to sum-
mit of Snowdon and Mount Domett, thence
to Wakapoai Point, together with all other land
within the Province of Nelson, not included
within the boundaries of other Districts des-
cribed herein.

TAKAKA DISTRICT.

From Rangiaieta Head to summits of
Slate River Peak, Lead Hill, Mount Olympus,
and Snowdon, from summit of Snowdon to
summit of Mount Arthur; thence along
watershed line to summit of Mount Richards
and to Abel Head; thence along coast to
Rangiaieta Head.

MOTUEKA DISTRICT.

From Abel Head along the eastern boun-
dary of the last-named districts to the sum-
mit of Mounts Richards and Arthur; thence
by a straight line in the direction of the
junction of the Buller and Gowan rivers till it
meets the Wangapeka river, or is due West
from its junction with the Motueka river,
thence to the junction of the Wangapeka
river with the Motueka river; thence by a
straight line to the south-west corner of section
189, Moutere; thence following the eastern
boundary of the Moutere Road District, to the
sea, thence along the sea coast to Abel Head.

NELSON DISTRICT.

From the sea at the North-east angle of the
Waimea Road District following the southern
boundary of the last-named District till it
meets the straight line from summit of Mount
Arthur to the junction of the Buller and
Gowan, thence along that line to the mouth of
the Gowan, thence up the Gowan to Lake
Howick, along the western shore of Lake
Howick to its southern extremity; thence to the
Wairau Gorge, thence northerly to Lake
Arthur along its eastern margin to the stream
running into it from the north-east; thence up
the said stream to the head of the Motupiko
river; thence along watershed summits to
Mount Rintoul, thence to Mount Richmond,
thence to eastern boundary of Township of
Havelock including the Township, thence
along the arm of the Pelorus to Point Cullen,
thence along the watershed summit by Mount
Cook to Alligator Point, thence to Point
Dickens, thence along the sea coast to its com-
mencement including the Waimea Islands.

WAIRAU DISTRICT.

Following the eastern boundary of last-
named District from Alligator Point to the
Wairau Gorge; thence the summit of the
watershed between the Gorge and Barefell's
Pass, thence to the summit of Mount Stafford,
thence along watershed summit to Mount
Wells, thence along watershed summit to the
White Bluff, thence to Alligator Point, so as
to include Port Gore, Queen Charlotte's
Sound, Port Underwood, and Linkwater
Dale,
