Places hereinafter specified to be the Principal
Polling Places for their respective Districts,
namely:-

For the District of the Town of Dunedin,

For the Dunedin Country District,-
The Court-house, Dunedin

For the District of the County of Wallace,-

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL
COME, GREETING :

WHEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly, intituled "The Regulation
of Elections Act, 1858," it is enacted that it
shall be lawful for the Governor by Warrant
under his hand, from time to time to appoint
Polling Places for each Electoral District within
or without the limits thereof, and to appoint
any one of such places to be the Principal Poll-
ing Place for the District, and all or any of
such Polling Places at any time to abolish
and to appoint other Polling Places in lieu
thereof: And Whereas by another Act of
the General Assembly, intituled "The
Provincial Elections Act, 1858," it is enacted
that, subject to certain provisions therein
contained, every Election of the Superintendent
or of a Member of the Provincial Council of a
Province shall be conducted in the manner
prescribed by the "Regulation of Elections Act,
1858," aforesaid, and all the provisions of the
said last mentioned Act shall apply to the
Elections of Superintendents and Members of
Provincial Councils:

NOW KNOW YE, that I, Thomas Gore
Browne, the Governor of the said Colony, in
pursuance of the power and authority in me
vested by the said Acts, do hereby appoint the
undermentioned places to be Polling Places
for the respective Districts hereinafter specified
for the Election of the Superintendent and
of Members of the Provincial Council of the
Province of Otago, namely:

For the Town of Dunedin District,-
At Dunedin-The Court-house

For the Town of Port Chalmers District,-
At Port Chalmers-The School-house

For the Eastern District,-
At Anderson's Bay-The School-house
At Green Island Bush-The School-house

For the Western District,-
At Half-way Bush-The School-house
At North-East Valley-The School-house

For the Central District,-
At East Taieri-The School-house
At West Taieri-The School-house

For the Tokomairiro District,-
At Tokomairiro-The School-house
At Waihola-The School-house

For the Clutha District,-
At Warepa-The School-house
At Clutha-The School-house
At Toie-toies-Dr. Richardson's Station
At Popotuna-Mr. Steele's House of Ac-
commodation

For the Northern District,-
At Hawksbury Bush-Mr. Beale's House of
Accommodation

At Otepopo-Mr. Fenwick's Station
At Oamaru-The premises of H. C. Hert-
slett, Esq., J.P.

For the District of Murihiku,-
At Invercargill-The Court-house
At Riverton-The Store of Mr. James
Surman

And I do further appoint the several
