PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency Colonel THOMAS
GORE BROWNE, Companion of the
Most Honorable Order of the
Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and Vice-
Admiral of the same, &c., &c.
WHEREAS the land hereinafter men-
tioned, has been acquired by purchase
from the aboriginal inhabitants of New Zea-
land, and it is expedient that the acquisition
thereof should be notified by Proclamation ac-
cordingly,
Now, therefore, I, the Governor, do hereby
proclaim and notify that the Native Title has
been extinguished over the Block of Land
whereof the boundaries are mentioned or de-
scribed in the Schedule hereunto annexed.
Given under my hand, and issued
under the Public Seal of the
Colony, at Government House,
at Auckland, this twenty-
ninth day of March, in the
year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and fifty-nine.

Arapohue Block—Area 9,500 Acres.
BOUNDARIES:
A line commencing at Waikaka on the
Wairoa River, thence along the banks of that
River to Aratawa, thence proceeding inland
along the Survey line of Mr. Buchanan bearing
42° 30' 163.16 links, thence in an Easterly
direction 313° 30' 98.27 links, thence to the
Manganui River at Ohaua 37° 30' 142.00
links, thence along the Manganui River to the
boundary of Okahu block, thence along the
boundary of that block 14° 15' 27 0.80 links
338° 127.20 links 51° 7'106.20 links 42°
119.00 links, arriving at Waikaka at the
Wairoa, being the point of commencement.

declared to come within the operation of this
