Extract from the War Office Regulations of
1848, page 232, par. 27.
"If a Soldier shall have purchased his dis-
charge, or receive a free discharge at his
own request, or being enlisted for limited
service, shall have claimed his discharge
after the expiration of the first period thereof,
such soldier shall, if he re-enlist within six
months, be permitted to reckon his former
service, provided he shall be recommended
for such indulgence by his commanding
Officer, on account of good conduct, at the
expiration of one year after his re-engage-
ment."

obtained at the Native Secretary's Department
at Auckland or New Plymouth.

15, Session 11, of the Legislative Council
of the Islands of New Zealand, to hear and

from, through, or under the New Zealand Com-
pany, report that the Claims of the undermen-

I do hereby decide that the said persons to
be respectively entitled to the Crown Grants
