NOTICE.

Auckland, September 8, 1857.
WHEREAS His Excellency the Governor
has been pleased to issue a Commission
of Enquiry into certain charges which have
been preferred against William Bertram White,
Esquire, Sub-Collector of Customs at Man-
gonui, and Mr. H. Grover, Tide-waiter at that
Port: Now I, Francis Dillon Bell, do hereby
give notice that I will open the said Commis-
sion and commence such enquiry in open Court
at Mangonui on Thursday, the 1st day of Ob-
tober next.
