shall be liable to the same amount of pilotage
as if the services of such Pilot had been ac-
cepted, unless the master of such vessel is pro-
vided with a certificate of exemption (which
may be granted by the Governor of the Colony
or by the Superintendent of the Province) and
has flown the exemption flag at the main from
arriving off the Island of Tiri-tiri-matangi,
such exemption flag consisting of not less than
six breadths of white bunting.

  1. Any person who shall board any vessel
    arriving from a foreign port, before such vessel

shall have been boarded by some person duly
authorised in that behalf, shall be liable to a
penalty not exceeding Β£5.

CORRECTION.-In notice of appointment of
Attorney-General in Government Gazette of
20th May, 1856, for "first seat in Executive
Council," read "first seat in Ministry."
